Unshakeable Salt Ltd is a limited company that offers Information Security consultancy to public and private sector organisations across the UK.
“Information security” frequently shortened to InfoSec, is the practice of preventing unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording or destruction of information. Spanning across all of the ‘domains’ of our trade, our specialist in providing Cryptography, Security Operations (SecOps) and Security Architecture expertise.
Unshakeable Salt was founded in 2015 and we’re a limited company registered with Companies House. We primarily assist banks, service companies and healthcare organisations (NHS and Private Health) to protect and secure their customers data from loss and misuse.
Our recent clients include the Yorkshire Building Society, The Co-Op, Serco, NHS Digital & HMCTS. We don’t just serve large organisations, as we like to serve our community too.

Why we picked Unshakeable Salt as a name
There are long and short versions of why we picked the name. The shorter version all evolves around finding something (vaguely) security related into a name that people from outside of the Infosec community can remember. Not forgetting that we’re typical Yorkshire folk, we were influenced by the availability of a very cheap domain name.
Being shorter still:
- ‘Unshakeable’ to make it both remember-able whilst enforcing a principle of being dependable.
- ‘Salt’ for the ‘salting’ of credentials.
We have not found a method of removing the magnesium carbonate from salt – so if Google has sent you here to discover a way of preventing the salt from falling off your fish & chips on a Friday, then we sincerely apologise for wasting your time.
