The UK Government made an announcement on the 12th March 2020 around a change in approach regarding COVID-19. Following this, we are now progressing our own advice from the Business Continuity Article we published last week.
Official UK Gov approach to COVID-19 has now migrated to ‘Delay’ and as such, weare implementing the initiating Business Continuity changes;
Safe And Secure Online Courses
With immediate effect all SafeAndSecure Online courses are postponed until at least July 2020.
March to June has traditionally been very quiet for our school engagement cyber security courses. With the current epidemic condition, we shall not be offering any in school engagements, nor evening sessions for parents / senior citizens.
We shall take the opportunity to refresh the material and prepare to provide additional courses in Q3.
Client Site Visits
To protect our own staff and ensure we have enough consultants to provide cover our client requirements, we are reducing our presence on client sites to only essential meetings that require a physical presence. We shall retain our agreed contractual delivery timescales, moving meetings and workshops to digital collaboration tools.
Our contracts always have a right to substitution clause. We have already begun to contact our clients to ensure that named consultants are vetted and ready to commence work without delay.
Understanding that some of our smaller clients may encounter cash flow issues over the next few months. Unshakeable Salt remains empathic and will continue to offer help out where it is feasible for us to do so. We would normally say come and discuss over a beer – but for now, maybe a conference call might be better.
The COVID-19 response might get a bit tough for the next 12 weeks. In the meantime, we hope all our clients, their families and loved ones stay safe.
